CoolSculpting is one of the most innovative, nonsurgical ways at Breast and Body Center of Austin to lose annoying bumps and bulges of stubborn fat. The Food and Drug Administration has approved this safe, revolutionary technology to freeze your fat cells, which causes them to break down and be excreted from the body. This treatment performed by our board-certified Plastic Surgeon Dr. Ned Snyder IV is designed to induce a notable, natural-looking reduction in fat bulges. Cryolipolysis is the science behind CoolSculpting, which is unlike other ways that medically reduce fat since there are no needles, surgery, or downtime. CoolSculpting only works in the area targeted you want. It will not damage the surrounding skin or tissues. Your results look natural and can be seen as early as 2 weeks following treatment, with the most dramatic results after 1 – 3 months. Set up your free consultation at our Round Rock or Austin office. Dr. Snyder will see if you are a good candidate for CoolSculpting and work with you to develop a treatment plan.
"I couldn't be more satisfied with Dr. Snyder and his staff! I first was introduced to the practice while going through chemotherapy and pregnant with our youngest son. Now almost a year later I finally had my DIEP Flap reconstruction last week. It's been a long journey but they are absolutely the best!!! I would recommend a million times. Thank you so much everyone at Breast and Body Center. You guys have made this whole process so worth it!! I'm in love with my new body."- R.W. / Facebook / Sep 18, 2017
"So where do I begin...Dr. Snyder is the plastic surgeon we all dream about. He is a dream personified into reality. Why you ask? Well...everything about that office is kismet. The front office staff are friendly. There are tons of free dermatology samples and sunscreen as his wife Réneé is a well-respected & reputable Dermatologist. His assistant Laurene Avis is very knowledgeable about all products, services, & surgical techniques. Veronica Alvarez handles billing and scheduling with finesse & ease. Then in walks this silver_haired tall cowboy. That's right y'all Blue suit and boots. Apparently, those boots were made for walking into operating rooms and crafting art. Yes...ART...I feel like a masterpiece after my surgery. I had two babies & my son left me with a hernia that needed repair amongst other signs of a struggle. Motherhood is beautiful...but can be hard when a size 0 girls carries an 8lb bouncing baby boy. Since my operation, I've had no complications. Scars are barely visible. I recommend squeezing vitamin-E capsules on the scar once he gives you the green light.I modeled some in my 20s. This was in the land of flat abs & thigh gaps. Lol! Now I'm mid 30s & I've been asked to promote & model for THREE different agencies! This all after being told I had aged out of modeling at 26. I've started a small business called Pepper Rose Retro...vintage pin-up clothing & accessories. He is a hidden jewel...trained in Europe & specializes in cosmetics and oncology procedures.Remember, I'm a Wake Forest trained PA...I would & will only go to the best. Special thanks Dr. Snyder and his team!"- T.O. / Yelp / Sep 17, 2017

I was a challenging case, and Dr. Snyder and his staff made every effort to make sure I was comfortable and taken care of and questions answered before and after."- C.B. / Yelp / Aug 18, 2017
During the Treatment
During a CoolSculpting procedure, patients will feel a slight pressure in the areas being treated. One of our certified CoolScuplting administrators will place the cooling device on the area of the body where the fat is to be removed. The device pulls the fat pocket up between the cooling panels, where the freezing process will ensue. Treatment will last about an hour, depending on the size of the area being treated. Following the procedure, patients can resume their normal day. They may experience some redness and tingling on the treated area, but this will subside quickly.

When Will I See Results?
Give it time to work! You may start to see changes as quickly as 3 weeks after your treatment, and will be doing so for up to 4 – 6 months after treatment. Many patients are satisfied after one treatment. However, during your consultation, Dr. Snyder can discuss a treatment plan that will meet your specific treatment needs.
How Safe Is It?
CoolSculpting works by applying a controlled temperature, targeting fat cells in selected areas for treatment. As it is noninvasive and applied only on the skin’s surface, there is no need for a recovery period, except for some redness that can last from as little as a few minutes up to a few hours. There may also be some swelling that may last for a week. Basically, fat cells are ‘frozen to death’ and the fat is broken down by the body and released in its natural process.
Will I Be Fat Again?
During CoolSculpting, the treated fat cells are eliminated. As long as you maintain a healthy lifestyle, long-term results should remain stable. This does not mean that new fat cells cannot form where the fat cells were already removed. Thus, it is important to adhere to an active lifestyle and healthy diet so the results achieved will be long-term.
How Many Treatments?
This depends. Multiple treatments may be recommended for those who have thicker layers of fat in the target areas. Depending on the patient’s aesthetic goals, Dr. Snyder may recommend one full treatment or a series of treatments spanning a few months.
Return to normal activities?
CoolSculpting is completely non-surgical, so typically you can return to normal activities immediately. Some patients experience redness, minor bruising, tingling, numbness or discomfort in the treated area, but this is temporary and will resolve completely. Often times, patients return to work after the session is over.
