Have you considered undergoing a traditional face or body lift but feel bit intimidated by major surgery? Breast and Body Center of Austin is pleased to offer a solution with EuroThreads, a minimally invasive, nonsurgical procedure which provides phenomenal results. Often called a PDO threads or "lunchtime lift," EuroThreads utilizes dissolving sutures, or threads, to lift skin, smooth wrinkles, decrease fine lines, and firm up skin that was once lax. The absorbable threads can be used to promote the natural production of collagen while offering a beautiful, lifted appearance to our Austin, TX patients. For more information about this innovative procedure or to schedule a consultation with our board-certified plastic surgeon, Dr. Ned Snyder, contact Breast and Body Center of Austin today.
The PDO Threads typically takes an hour or less to perform. The dissolvable threads will be inserted via a cannula or sterilized needle beneath the skin in the treatment area. The cannula or needle will then be removed and the threads left in place so that they can be pulled to lift and tighten the skin. The amount of threads used for your procedure will depend on the size of the treatment area as well as your desired result. It is not uncommon for Dr. Snyder to perform this procedure in conjunction with other nonsurgical services for optimal results. Once the procedure is complete, the threads are left behind to be absorbed by your body.

Minor bruising swelling, soreness, and redness are common following a EuroThreads lift but should not be severe or lasting. Most patients begin to notice results within a few hours following the procedure, with the most obvious results appearing in the weeks afterward. Results are typically amplified when the procedure involved the use of added nonsurgical treatments and services. After the procedure, Dr. Snyder will recommend a follow-up visit. We highly recommend all of our patients attend this appointment so that Dr. Snyder can check the success of the treatment and make recommendations that will help you retain your results.

EuroThreads Lift FAQs
Who Are Good Candidates?
You may be a candidate for a Thread lift if you are experiencing signs of aging or suffering from sagging skin. Ideal candidates for this procedure are those who desire tighter, firmer skin but are not ready to undergo a surgical procedure. EuroThreads lifts can be performed on the body, neck, cheeks, lips, and jowls and can be paired with other nonsurgical treatments to help you achieve the aesthetic appearance you desire. The threading used during a EuroThread procedure is FDA-approved and will be absorbed by your body, stimulating collagen production and providing lasting results.
When Will I See Results?
How soon you will notice results following your procedure depends on a number of variables. Most patients observe results within the hours following their procedure, but it is not uncommon for them to become most obvious after minor irritation and swelling decreases. This can take a period of 3 – 5 days in some situations.
Will One Treatment Be Enough?
Some patients find that just one treatment is sufficient to reach the results they wish for. But for others, a repeat treatment may help to retain results. On average, a EuroThreads lift provides optimal results for around 18 months, give or take. Dr. Snyder will be better able to recommend repeat treatments or additional nonsurgical treatments, which could complement and prolong your results after a follow-up appointment at Breast and Body Center of Austin.
