what is emsculpt?
Many people train, workout, and diet for months on end without achieving the results they desire. This can be frustrating and trying and may lead you to doubt your efforts. But with the help of brand new technology, your aesthetic goals are not out of reach. Snyder Plastic Surgery at the Breast and Body Center is proud to announce the adoption of not one but two EMSCULPT platforms! EMSCULPT is a cutting-edge HIFEM (high-intensity focused electromagnetic) technology that improves muscle tone while burning fat for a more chiseled and toned appearance. EMSCULPT is most commonly used on the abdomen and buttocks and works by contracting muscles at the cellular level to build new fibers and create new protein strands. In turn, your treatment area appears firm, toned, and tightened! To learn more about this exciting new procedure, contact our Round Rock or Austin, TX facility to schedule a consultation with board-certified plastic surgeon Dr. Ned Snyder or a member of our talented team.

best Candidates
Round Rock and Austin, TX area patients who are healthy and live fit and active lifestyles are typically ideal candidates for EMSCULPT. When compared to other plastic surgery procedures, EMSCULPT poses fewer risks, includes fewer side effects, and does not require a recovery period. As such, men and women who are not ready to undergo surgery are usually the best candidates for this procedure. If you wish to improve the appearance of your buttocks and/or stomach but have struggled to do so with diet and exercise alone, you will likely benefit from EMSCULPT. Dr. Snyder's team will help you decide if this procedure is right for you during a consultation at Snyder Plastic Surgery at the Breast and Body Center. They will discuss your medical history and assess your aesthetic goals to create a treatment plan that will help you to achieve them.
Procedure Technique
In some cases, your procedure can be performed following your consultation! This will be considered on a case-by-case basis according to appointment times, availability, and treatment plans. Before beginning your procedure, you will be taken to one of our minor procedures rooms where we will help you get comfortable on a treatment table. You will be instructed to relax when the EMSCULPT handpiece is applied to your treatment area. Each region takes approximately 30 minutes to treat. You will feel muscle contractions and vibrations as your body builds new protein strands and muscle fibers. During your treatment, a member of our team will monitor the treatment to ensure you remain comfortable.
What to Expect
You are free to return to your daily activities immediately after your treatment has concluded. EMSCULPT rarely produces any side effects, however, they are mild when they do appear. Any soreness or tenderness should feel equivalent to the recovery from a strenuous workout and should subside in the coming days. Dr. Snyder's team will recommend a treatment plan that includes the number of EMSCULPT treatments that is most likely to help you achieve your aesthetic goals. This could include 4 – 8 EMSCULPT treatments scheduled about 2 – 3 days apart. Many patients enjoy results after just one session, but the most dynamic results are achieved following multiple sessions.
