American Cancer Society Air Miles Program
Designed to help you with the costs of traveling for cancer-related reasons, the American Cancer Society Air Miles Program is a valuable resource for many of our patients. Frequent flier miles are donated by members of the Delta SkyWish Program, the United Untied Mileage Plus Charity Miles Program, and the Frontier Airlines EarlyReturns Mileage Program. These miles are provided on a one-time-per-year basis for patients who qualify for tickets and can be extended for escorts or travel companions if medically required. Travel is restricted within the US only. This program is made possible through the joint efforts of Mercy Medical Airlift, the National Patient Travel Helpline, and the American Cancer Society. The National Patient Travel Center (NPTC)
With more than 3 dozen special discounted and charitable patient air service groups in the program, the National Patient Travel Center can help refer you to the one that best fits your needs. The NPTC helps each individual patient find the right program to help take care of the costs of air travel, including air ambulance services, for cancer or other illness-related reasons. Throughout Austin, the American Cancer Society Road to Recovery Program is affiliated with many hotels that can offer reduced, economical room rates for cancer-related reasons. Many of our patients can benefit from saving money on lodging with the program. Call 1-800-227-2345 at least 2 Fridays before the week of travel to see if there are hotels and lodging assistance available for your needs.

LIVESTRONG Cancer Navigation Services
The free LIVESTRONG Cancer Navigation Services can assist our patients in finding the right discounted hotel room as well as with other support. Each patient will get help from a Personal Cancer Navigator who will do much of the detailed work that is hard to focus on as a cancer patient. The American Cancer Society Road to Recovery Program assists patient with cancer with rides to their appointments and/or treatment sessions. Breast Cancer Resource Center AsSisters Client Assistance Program
Once you arrive in Austin for surgery at Snyder Plastic Surgery at The Breast and Body Center, the Breast Cancer Resource Center AsSisters Client Assistance Program helps to support and assist women with important details, such as ground transportation to and from appointments, some light housekeeping, prescription pick-up, and more. Our staff at Snyder Plastic Surgery at The Breast and Body Center is committed to making sure you receive the care that you need. Whether visiting for cancer-related reasons or for aesthetic ones, our out-of-town patients are important to us. This is why we are eager to help in every step of the process, from providing hotel options to offering convenient pre-operative appointment times within 5 – 7 days before your surgery. Since every patient will have varying recovery times and post-operative requirements, our staff can also be involved in referring and coordinating a private nurse to help you after your surgery so that you can be as comfortable as possible.
