Immediate bilateral DIEP flap with delayed placement of implants

This patient was diagnosed with DCIS and opted for bilateral mastectomies followed by DIEP flap breast reconstruction. Several months later, the patient desired a larger sized reconstruction. She then proceeded to have silicone implants placed beneath her DIEP flap tissue. Her reconstruction was complete with nipple/areola tattooing.
