The newest Congress Avenue Bridge in Downtown Austin, TX was constructed in 1980 over the Colorado River and is now the home to the world’s largest urban Mexican Free-tailed bat colony. An Austin tradition, people from all over the city join together near the bridge each spring evening to watch the colony take flight. A guest interested in this tour can choose to bike over, kayak under, or walk to the bridge on either a guided or unguided tour.
