Nothing is more important to us than the health and safety of both our patients, and our staff, so we want to take a moment and address how our office is handling the current situation surrounding the spread of COVID-19, also known as the coronavirus. Here at Snyder Dermatology and Plastic Surgery, we follow the strictest guidelines as set forth and recommended by the CDC, surrounding sanitation measures, and face to face patient contact. In addition to stringent sanitation practicesto ensure the highest level of cleanliness and disinfection of all touchable surfaces, effective immediately, we have begun implementing digital telecommunication appointments, when at all possible, and appropriate. We are also employing these same measures for both staff, and patient screening, including temperature checks, and wellness questionnaires upon arrival.

Before being allowed to enter the office, patients are screened at the door by a member of our medical staff, and will be rescheduled, if, and when needed and appropriate. Once you are checked in, we kindly ask that patients wait in their vehicles until they are phoned to come in, unless directed otherwise, at the door. This system ensures the lowest possible amount of human interaction, and helps us better control the office environment. Once the medical staff has advised that a patient may enter the office, they will immediately be taken to an exam room, to avoid any unnecessary contamination of public spaces and waiting areas, and we kindly ask that all patients refrain from bringing children, or other guests with them to their appointments, unless it is medically necessary.

NS: The team at Snyder Plastic Surgery understands that much of our patient care cannot be carried out through a telemedicine call, and must take place in person, especially in the case of our post op surgical care, and newly diagnosed breast cancer patients. We are doing everything in our power to ensure that our high level of patient care is not lost, and continues to be provided throughout this uncertain time. If you are unsure if you need to be seen, please speak with a member of our medical team, and they may direct you to send email photos, and further discuss your concerns before scheduling an appointment. If you wish to have other family members or loved ones present at your appointment, we recommend the use of video conferencing, and speakerphone, so that your caregivers and support team may participate, and ask questions, just as they would during a face to face visit. In order to ensure that those requiring immediate attention are tended to as safely, and quickly as possible, some cosmetic, and non-urgent appointments may be postponed for the immediate future.

Finally, we ask that any patient who has recently traveled, or is experiencing any symptoms, such as fever, cough, or shortness of breath, to please call the office prior to your appointment, and we will be happy to reschedule you, for no charge, or penalty to you. We are upholding these same measures for our staff as well, and have implemented consistent hand washing and sanitization, as well as the mandatory use of masks and gloves during all patient interactions.

We here at Snyder Dermatology and Plastic Surgery are doing everything we can to ensure the health and safety of our families, loyal patient base, and our community. Together, we can help to stop the spread of this virus and take better care of one another, and ourselves, through simple, yet effective measures and actions. We all need to have more compassion and diligence than ever before, and together as a community, we will get through this, and come out stronger and more unified than ever before. From both of us, and our staff, we greatly appreciate your loyalty, patience, and support during this tough time. Thank you.
