Cellfina, a minimally-invasive cellulite reduction treatment, is now available at the Breast and Body Center of Austin. If you suffer from unattractive, dimply cellulite on your buttocks and/or thighs, this may be an excellent treatment option for you. Our Austin, TX board-certified Plastic and Reconstructive Surgeon Dr. Ned Snyder IV uses the Cellfina treatment to target the structural cause of cellulite a single treatment that can last up to 2 – 3 years.
You may have struggled with cellulite for years or are just getting a glimpse of small dimples in your thighs or buttocks. Either way, you need a treatment that will give you smoother skin. You might have even tried creams, pills and cellulite products that promised great results, but failed to live up to the promise. Dr. Snyder is proud to offer Cellfina to patients who are within 10 pounds of their ideal weight, do not have a substantial amount of fat beneath the skin on their buttocks or thighs, and have realistic goals. A straightforward answer to cellulite, Cellfina, combines a proven approach with innovative, proprietary technology, to produce precise, long-lasting results. If you would like to learn more, please request a consultation at your earliest convenience.
When you come to the Breast and Body Center of Austin for your Cellfina treatment, it should last about 45-minutes to an hour. We will mark the treatment area where the cellulite will be treated. Dr. Snyder will inject (with a tiny needle) a liquid anesthetic under the skin. Then, a suction cup will be attached to stabilize the skin with cellulite.
Bands that exist throughout fat in the thighs and buttocks are the culprit in most cellulite cases. These tight bands pull down the skin, creating the puckering you see on the surface. Once the band is released by being treated with the needle, the banded skin should relax and become smooth. The Cellfina system can also give your buttock an uplifted or augmented appearance once the dimples have been released.
Once your Cellfina treatment is complete, you can go about your day as normal. You may be in some discomfort, but it can be managed with an over-the-counter pain reliever. We may also ask you to wear a compression garment for a week following the treatment. This garment will help speed up your healing process. You may want to take it easy for a couple of days, but the soreness, tenderness, and bruising should not keep you from your everyday life.
