If you would like to boost your skin's level of hydration and correct facial wrinkles like the nasiolabial folds, smile lines, and forehead wrinkles, we suggest you try Belotero Balance injectable wrinkle filler treatments. This liquid dermal filler is available at Snyder Plastic Surgery at The Breast and Body Center and is injected by our board-certified Plastic Surgeon Dr. Ned Snyder IV. This fantastic filler is injected straight into the problem areas and consists of a synthetic form of hyaluronic acid, a natural substance that is found in the body. When you have your consultation in one of our Austin, TX area offices, Dr. Snyder will assess your skin tone and wrinkles to see if Belotero is the right injectable for you.
Belotero is often a single-session treatment that lasts up to 30 minutes, sometimes even less. Patients may experience pain is similar to any other injection treatments. A topical anesthetic may be applied to minimize discomfort during the session. The amount of medication, formulation, and injection spot vary considering each patient’s circumstances. The entire process is repeated every 6 to 12 months as the formulation is naturally absorbed by the body.

Everyone that I met from my first consultation to my post follow up after surgery were extremely helpful and informative. Dr. Snyder himself is an amazing surgeon. My results are perfect and better than I ever could have imagined. I highly recommend him if you are thinking about this procedure. His PA, Jen was extremely helpful and informative as well. The facilities from Dr. Snyder’s office to the surgical site used were clean, beautiful and comfortable. I felt well taken care the entire time and am thrilled with my results."- Anonymous / Vitals / Mar 08, 2018

"Dr Ned Snyder is by far the best plastic surgeon. I am 5 weeks into my post breast augmentation surgery and I am extremely happy with my results. He did exactly what I wanted and I am a 38 year old high level executive that wanted to jump right back into work with no questions or Issues and I was able to do exactly that with him. One of my best friends who is a breast cancer survivor said it was the best job she has ever seen and is even thinking about going to him to finish her reconstruction. His staff has been amazing and responsive. My results look absolutely perfect with my frame and this is more than I ever could have imagined. I was one of those people that was hesitant for years before doing this surgery and after going through it, it has been one of the best decisions I have ever made and that is big for me to say! Dr. Ned Snyder is the best."- G.H. / Google / Apr 14, 2018

I told him what I wanted and he did exactly that, but even better than I could have imagined. I would recommend that if this is something you are thinking about that you see him. I have friends and family that want to do it after seeing my results. He and his team are hands down the best!"- J.G. / Yelp / Mar 30, 2018
Since this is a noninvasive treatment, patients will be able to go back to their normal routine shortly after the injection. Some swelling and redness may be present, but these usually subside after a few hours. Strenuous activities must be avoided for at least 1 day. The results are evident immediately and can last from 6 – 12 months. Generally, the skin treated will appear smooth with a rejuvenated glow that makes facial features look young and fresh.

There are a number of available injectable fillers that are hyaluronic based in the market today. However, Belotero is best known for its function to correct severe wrinkles commonly found around the nasolabial folds. Other fillers will be discussed during the initial consultation with Dr, Snyder to highlight the advantages of each and the best approach to the patient’s facial features and cosmetic concerns.
Belotero is hyaluronic-acid-based filler that is FDA approved. It is backed with years of extensive testing for its function and safety. Since hyaluronic acid is a substance processed naturally in the body, it is a solution that integrates well with the underlying tissues and provides great results in terms of adding volume and promoting skin hydration.
Botox or Belotero?
BOTOX works in a way that once injected, the skin will appear smoother and softer because the solution is a muscle relaxant. It freezes the muscles beneath the skin where it was injected. However, it does not add any volume to the area. Belotero, like other injectable dermal fillers, can provide the same results as BOTOX, but works in a way that it adds more volume so that it stretches the skin to make it appear more youthful and smoother with wrinkles becoming less evident.
Do I Need Reinjections?
In most cases, yes. Since Belotero is made of hyaluronic acid, a substance that occurs naturally within the body, the injected solution normally gets absorbed. It is recommended to maintain injections every 6 months to 1 year to supplement the loss of volume. Some patients initially opt for dermal fillers to see if cosmetic enhancements will look and feel before proceeding with more permanent and invasive procedures such as facelifts.
