Liposuction is a way to remove stubborn pockets of fat that have not been responsive to traditional diet and exercise. Many of us struggle with one area of our body that is more difficult to tone and lose weight than the rest of our body. Some people may struggle with the hips, legs, stomach, buttocks, or even knees, cheeks, neck or ankles–Liposuction can be performed on virtually any area of the body to eliminate these pockets of fat once and for all. The Liposuction procedure is performed by a cannula (long, skinny tube) that is inserted into tiny incisions in the specified area, the fat is then sucked out and removed. Sometimes a patient may choose to combine Liposuction with another procedure, most typically a body contouring procedure such as a Tummy Tuck, Arm Lift, or Thigh Lift.
